Nobody has downplayed the harm that planter dust has caused beekeepers in Europe and probably Ontario. The collateral damage is unacceptable. 

But the drumbeat is to ban all neonics, and the drummers look for any example of harm to justify it. They turn away from any example that contradicts their message.
