Hi All,

I'm doing some serious syrup feeding trying to draw out a few hundred deep
supers of foundation, and have little experience in this. I'm having a
hard time finding any actual data on what is the best concentration of
syrup to feed for the optimal drawing of comb.

I'm curious as to whether a weaker syrup, say 1:2 (sugar:water) would force
the bees to draw more comb in order to process the thin syrup into honey,
as opposed to a heavy syrup (2:1), which they could store immediately as
"honey."

Many have fed syrup to draw comb, but does anyone know of any study or
practical experience in which someone has fed both types of syrup side by
side and compared the difference? I'm not so interested in putting on
weight (I realize that bees will spend less energy in storing the heavy
syrup)--what I want to do is to draw comb.
