A slight clarification. Some journals specifically prohibit redistribution of articles. They are for "personal use only" by authorized subscribers. I do not distribute such material as that would be a violation of the use restriction. I have, on occasion, passed on articles with the express instruction that they are for personal use only, not to be distributed. These restrictions are unfortunate, but necessary to protect the financial interests of the publishers.
