The concept of thermoregulation/heat production by insects is NOT
novel. One of the earliest salient refernces is a thesis written
in 1803 by IFL Hausman in Latin. Later in the early 1800's Newport (1837)
wrote on the subject. I am sure that Berndt Heinrich is aware of
these early contributions. The rest of the review reads well and
I lookforward to obtaining a copy of the book.
