I leave old surplus equipment in field in yards yes for ketching swarms, but only average about 1-2 a yard since housel positioning combs properly in sequence. For it stopped 90% of swarming.......................and once there I leave them until established with enough comb drawn to cut out.............which could take up to 6 months or so, plus if they don't make it I don't need them either.
