Thanks Randy for your surprising(to me) chart!  I have a couple of  
questions about the data you used.  Does the term pesticide, in your  
chart, include fungicides and other 'cides or only insecticides?  Have  
the weights of the inert carriers etc in the pesticides been included  
in the weights used?  Does cropland include rangeland and other land  
left fallow?  I would have expected Canada to be similar to the US,  
but we don't even hit the list.  Possibly the amount of pesticides on  
citrus almonds cotton etc which we don't grow, and soft fruit and  
grapes which are only grown in a few places but smaller acreage than  
US are the reason!
