thanks for the suggestion, Dave!  These last few years I can see them in
front of the hives--just lots more dead bees on the ground.  I really liked
your cotton spraying photo essay--very powerful!

Since any neonics in guttation fluid should effect rapid kill, your
suggestion to look on the ground in the fields is well taken.  This was done
in some of the research that I cited.  I will do it next season, as I'm sure
that Bob will.
