Mike in lower Alabama wrote about "a strain of Bacillis
Thurengis which is just as deadly to the varroa mite
as chems have been in the past."
 
I'm not saying this is true or false, but this is the first I've heard of it, here on BEE-L.  Mike, can you provide a source or documentation for this statement?  If not, readers beware.
