>I have only treated with thymol since varroa was found here in 1997; the dose has been gradually reduced and many colonies will now only get one treatment this autumn.  Yes, we have had moderately high winter losses - but sustainable, and now very rarely see any deformed wings.


Do you any data to share that would support your observations? Something like varroa counts indicating that your way of keeping bees is working to build tolerance or resistance to varroa?
