State organizations, like the Empire State Honey Producers Association
(ESHPA), and Local often have a member who attends national (or state)
organization meetings, sometimes with a formal voting position. These
people may or may not regularly attend these meetings if it weren't for
their responsibility. This often results in a commitment of a week of
their time a year plus $1000 or more travel and registration expenses.
We, ESHPA, are trying to develop a policy for some remuneration for
these services and are identifying a number of possible options. We
would thus like to solicit information from the list as to what your
different organizations do in this situation. To save list chatter on
this side issue, I would invite direct responses to my email address
below. Please include "BEE-L" in the subject for my filter passage. I
will compile a single list and publish it for information of others who
may be interested.
