Understandable in my view.  Constant exposure and contact.  But, that is not like the periodic exposure of land based insects.   We really need a study (or studies) done on nectar and pollen uptake with different plant species and different soils along with studies done on low level, long duration exposure on our pollinators.  Along with that would be the interaction of different pesticides when present in conjunction with other pesticides - again with long term studies.
