Hello to all.
I have used this system for years and it has worked well for me.
It may not meet everyone's approval, but it has kept me from losing bee
populations.
A word of caution.  One has to make sure that if the original queen is
killed, that a replacement queen is installed.  New born queens under
this arrangement will miss the right time to mate, hence they will be
sterile.
