Hello All

I have not yet had to kill all of the bees in a hive, but I understand that
if the bees are thoroughly sprayed with a solution of washing up liquid in
water (I do not know the proportions), and the hive then sealed, that the
bees succumb very quickly due to the washing up liquid disabling their
tracheae and smothering them.

There may be an objection to this type of killing due to possible suffering
to the bees - I do not know about this. But at least if it works it is
environmentally friendly and the hive components should be re useable.

Sincerely

Tom Barrett
