a David E MacFawn snip...
I was given a couple of unmated queens that hatched two days ago.

my comments...
I have used these in both a slow and fast release regime. I seem to have had acceptable success with both. I am 'assuming' here the virgin queens are in some form of cage (curler cages)). In the slow release I place the curler cage in the split and leave for a day and then pull the plug. In the quick release I spray the adult bees down with water + just a dab of vinella (sp?) or spearmint. I try and use as little smoke as possible for both.
