Actual data on queen supersedure is difficult to find, especially from the past. Here's this


There was a great presentation on this at the California state meeting.   Researchers ( I don't recall who)  had put datat loggers on shipped bees and recorded the temp spikes.  Seems if I recall about 1/4 saw extremes in heat or cold.  One of which was worse for the queen than the other,    but both were bad.

Maybe someone recalls a link to that data??
