In a previous post, i mentioned that I treated and checked for varroa
yesterday. I took the insert out last evening and dumped most of the
mites out. Today a neighbor was over and we were discussing bees. He
wanted to see a mite so I picked up the tray hoping to see a dead mite
or so. Well, what I found was a live mite. What makes them fall off the
bees and how long do the little suckers live after they fall off?
