HI BEE-L ers

The Russian Honeybee Breeders LLC does select there stock each year to
improve the characteristics of the bees for honey production, temper and
above all pest resistance. Hybrids do not perform as well as pure stock.
Of the current certified members there are only two under the age of
55. I am in my late sixties. We cannot supply the demand for queens for
the industry but are able to supply breeding stock to raise queen from,
every queen certified members sell is stable to raise queens from to
propagate the Russian bee. We also rotate the release stock each year in
order to keep the industry form inbreeding.
> Unless they have stopped selecting stock, I would think that annual
> queen purchases would be beneficial to improve any beekeeper's stock
> and maintain diversity, no matter how pure their own stock may be.
