The Denver Post had an interesting article on bees last Sunday, I thought it

On the local front, I'm still feeding my two hives 1.5 to 2 gallons of sugar
water a week. Our weather is pathetic, no rain for over 2 months, we've had
13 days straight of 100+ temperatures and tied our all time high today of
108, 107 yesterday, and possible 109 tomorrow. Did I pick a bad year to
start beekeeping? Lots of feeding and don't expect any honey.
