> Mike, do you mean that OA(v) doesn't work as a varroa control?

Not in my operation. I vaporized in November two years in a row.
Found increasing numbers of varroa. So third year, on directions of
Heilyser, vaporized 3 times a week apart...in November, and again in November.

I found no difference in mite population by alcohol wash...before and
after the treatments.

I know that OA(v) must be done when colonies are broodless. My bees
are mostly broodless in November. Why didn't it work for me?

Either the colonies weren't broodless...I believe they were or nearly
so for all November treatments. The temperatures were too cold and
the clusters too tight for the vapors to penetrate the
clusters...this is first on my list of possibilities. Or...the vapor
doesn't work.

I wonder if the vaporizer that Madhat built works better...it uses
air to force the vapors into the cluster.
