I think the last sentence is an excellent summation:

Because both pesticides and pollinators are
critical to the continuing success of worldwide agriculture, it is
imperative that we learn to accurately and honestly assess the
benefits and risks of their interactions on commercial
honeybees and other pollinators.

I would emphasize *honestly*. One cannot be honest if one has "made up one's mind". An open mind is essential to all honest inquiry. In many of these issues, the jury will always be out, new evidence will always be found, this is an ongoing process which we are in together for the long haul. As the world becomes more complex, simple answers will be harder and harder to find.
