Concerning the laying workers, Dick, they lay more eggs in the same cell.
I cannot answer your second question but regarding a ripe queen cell, we
place it into a new nuc after having destroyed the queen cells the nuc
raised itself. Otherwise we use cell protectors, this helps sometimes.
