An analogy here. Malaria exists and we have drugs to fight it, but the
better solution is to eliminate to the extent possible, the carrier.
Otherwise, you consign millions of people to the threat and possible
contraction of the disease and allow the pest free reign, even though
not all mosquitoes carry the disease.
