I don't know if you missed Peter Borst's point or if I misunderstood it myself, but I believe that Peter would come down on the side of eliminating USDA agricultural subsidies all together. On the face of it I don't know why we subsidize farming at all.

That being said, what Peter considers a subsidy is otherwise known by most others as Crop Insurance Payments. Something that the beekeepers who gleaned those payments paid for. Maybe I don't know enough about the whole situation to understand how that means that there is money coming out of my pocket to pay those insurance claims.

Show me the subsidies? We aren't talking about beekeeper welfare.
