A supplier I recently found is LSI Specialty Products. They have several
sites around the country and the local office (Portland, Oregon) was very
helpful and easy to work with. The only odd thing about them is that to
order you need to call their national office (which is listed as ADM, not
LSI) and order there. You then can pick up small quantities at the local
branch - they require payment on delivery, checks only, no cash. I am not
sure what their minimum order is, but they were very willing to sell me 1000
pounds and a single drum sounded very possible, not sure about single pails.
The price was $21.75 per hundred pounds for type 55.

If you are interested call Cindy McDonald at 877-447-7732 and see if they
have a local branch in your area and what their minimum purchase is.
