As Allen Dick mentioned, mixing of syrup and water takes place if water
is added to the container before the syrup is pumped in.

In addition, I drop into the tank a compressed air line with an air gun
taped open.
I let air pass for an hour after the water/ syrup have been put into the
tank. This agitates the whole extremely well - and have as yet no
granulation problems. The density of the liquid is so that there is no
splashing to the exterior of the container.
