IMHO, This is the type of myopic study which appears to show something when it actually shows something else. If antibiotics cause increase in weight, it could be that the individuals are healthier and have fewer micro-organisms and other parasitics siphoning off their energy. In livestock, it is consider a plus.

The primary reason people in general are overweight is due to lack of exercise. If they were getting adequate exercise, they would gain muscle mass, not fat. Given undernourished populations, weigh gain would be seen as a positive sign. Given an excess of food and the lack of exercise, weight gain becomes a disease. But the solution is not to cut out medicine, it's to get off the couch.
