that DARPA also produced the Internet (not Al Gore nor NSF) and the Stealth
Bomber.  There wouldn't be a Bee-L without DARPA.


Yes, well, this is getting a little too sticky. I am quite certain that we,
as a human race, would have produced the internet, given the desire and the
money, one way or another.

My point earlier was that the big bucks are in the military coffers and in
order to get the money, researchers like Jerry have to cue up to the DoD. 

Would that it were otherwise; would that we could get billions spent on
research for Peace.

(PS: where did all those land mines come from in the first place?)
