Hello All,
I was reading today the article "Ashes To Ashes" (George Weigel) pg.42 of
the March/April "Ohio Gardener".
George talks of two new registered treatments.

One from the University of Michigan a chemical named
Emamectin Benzoate (just registered for EAB)when injected in the tree lasts
two years.
Systemic with no reference to bees in the article or on Wikipedia.

The second Dinote Furan from a new neonicitinod seller trying to into the
market. Mitsiu chemical.
I read from google the product is foliar spray applied. Most crops bees
pollinate are listed including apples and peaches.
The advertisement says works better than imidacloprid on the flea beetle.

Only my opinion:
All beekeepers need is a new neonicitinoid which kills insects better than
imidacloprid.

I am not trying to get into a big discussion but rather keep the list
informed as to a new article in a widely read magazine.

bob
