Pete, I just did a quick search for experimental data to back this up.
Surprisingly, nothing jumped out at me from either the U.S. or Australian
scientific literature.  Certainly odd, since it would be such an easy
controlled trial.

This is not to say that some beekeepers, such as Charlie, haven't run
controlled trials themselves.  Unfortunately, such citizen science
generally doesn't get published.

Hey you Aussie beeks--do you know of any formal trials comparing the two?
