It is with regret that I bring news that beloved Swedish bee researcher Dr.
Ingemar Fries passed away a couple of days ago after a couple of years
battling cancer.  Ingemar was a lighthearted friend, and a pillar of the
bee research community.  His body of research, as well as the scientists he
trained carry on his legacy.  We will miss him.
