Interesting..I'd like to see updated research from that 1965 study.

This would suggest that comparing queens from grafting vs. Jenter/Nicot box would be informative. The Miller method and the Hopkins method both use cells with undisturbed eggs as well, although they do not generate a lot of queens at a time, they are good methods for small holding beekeepers.
