Yep. As far as all beekeeping is local, it all depends on the start of
brood laying.

Plus the 1/3 2/3 ratio is my breakdown from a study where about 15 lbs was
consumed in the first part of winter and the remainder which was about 30
lbs after brood start. That may differ depending on location and race of
bee.

Good info on this in The Hive and the Honey Bee in wintering in cold
climates.
