These techniques were invented by independent researchers who went to Monsanto for funding. Does that destroy the validity of their work? You, of all people, know how much it costs to bring a product  to market. You did trials of Metarhizium, right? What if that had gotten out of hand and caused widespread side effects? Where were the controls then?
