  Thank you to all who have replied so kindly, and so informatively.  I will
discuss this with my GP the next time I see him.   I have a visit coming up
soon.

  As I understand these posts, one main difficulty is in whether there is an
allergy or not, and second how to deal with it.  I am frequently more than
30 minutes from any hospital (who isn't?) so do my best to be vigilant at
all times.
