I have not thrown chemicals in my hive for at least 10 years. They doing  
fine. However, one person had an interesting idea. Put hives into the back of 
a  pickup truck that has screen bottom boards. Drive down a back road. 
Mites jarred  off then sweep the mites out. I mite research this idea.
