1) Are you certain that you need both? Perhaps the thymol will be adequate.
Mixing it with menthol is probably NOT a good idea, as these products
presumably have never been tested together.

2) Personally, I think it would be a mistake to attempt to requeen at this
time. Good acceptance normally requires good conditions and having the hive
filled with chemical fumes is not my idea of a good condition.

3) You may be able to requeen later, if you will have queens available. I
have requeened with excellent success in the broodless period in the fall.
The bees really have no choice but to accept the queen at that point.
