With respect, nothing in Peter's blog post says anything like "since lots of things kill bees, we can't say pesticides are a significant problem".  The closest you can infer from that blog post is that Peter believes that "since lots of things kill bees, we should not automatically blame pesticides in advance of the evidence" and even that one can only weakly infer from Peter's choice to include a single quote near the bottom of the article which he clearly attributed to the original authors (Wilson and Menapace 1979).  
 
Commenters here do a disservice when they put words in the mouths of others.
