Sounds like a reverse observation, since when brood rearing starts, core
temps go up to 95F. But, I am sure Peter will help us here.

I was researching degree days for garden work (planting instead of pests,
which it is mostly used for), and found a cryptic comment that beekeepers
are studying degree days and how they relate to bee behavior. I did a quick
google search and found nothing, but wonder if anyone knows of such a study.
