I tell anyone who will listen that I have made the same mistakes
over and over and am still making mistakes. I invite
people to look over my shoulder and watch me make more mistakes.

Thanks for spelling it all out, Allen. Essentially, that's my point as well. I sold out in 1990, ten cents on the dollar. There is a story there, but it isn't about bees. Some of us come to this list in the spirit of inquiry, others to chide and brag. Honestly, much can be learned from mistakes accurately interpreted.

There's an old story of a child playing against a champion backgammon player, and winning the first game. He had the good sense not to play again. In life you can be lucky at times, but over the long haul, knowledge and skill will greatly improve your odds. Listen, and try things, and don't always blame yourself if things go wrong. Could be you got a bum steer.

Pete
