Dr Colin Butler, OBE, FRS

Colin Gasking Butler was born October 26, 1913, and died on January 4, 2016. He died peacefully in Cambridge, after a short illness, aged 102. He was Head of Entomology Department, Rothamsted Experimental Station, Harpenden, 1972–1976.

Former Head of Bee and Entomology Depts. at Rothamsted Experimental Station. Past President of Royal Entomological Society. Past President of Cornwall Naturalists Trust and National Trust Regional Committee Member for Devon and Cornwall. 

He is missed by family and friends.
