Ellen,
I have done BOTH, drumming and tying brood comb in frames, but that was in
Depression Days when people were willing to work for nothing.  Those days are
long gone.

Further, today, so many beekeepers are in URBAN areas, and you dare not create
too much disturbance to the bees that causes neighborhood stinging.  Maybe
the "Dog House Beekeeper" lives in town rather than out on a farm.

I hope all is well in Michigan, haven't seen it in 10 years.
