it seems to me that removing the cap with the least damage to the comb would
allow the bees to refill the combs quickly.

so what is the best way to remove the caps.

is there a way to keep a taut wire just hot enough to melt the wax as you
slide the frame across the wire. then flip the frame and do the other side.
any thoughts.
