"...we beekeepers are living in a much more friendly beekeeping world."

Beekeepers can thank 'CCD' and the publicity
surrounding it. IMO, CCD is the best thing
that ever happened to Beekeeping.

"...Bayer has been working with beekeepers, which is amazing all by itself."

The public loves a good cause,
it feels good to point the
finger at big business. Bayer
knows this, and Bayer working
with beekeepers is simply
good publicity. Yes, it may
benefit beekeepers, but Bayer
would not do this if it did
not benefit them in some way.

"...It is a new world."

Many new to the business are homesteaders
looking to keep bees in ways which are
promoted as 'more natural.' These new
beekeepers are getting more and more
information from the internet. IMO, the
upper echelon of the old establishments
ability to influence the way it once did,
has for all intents and purposes been
neutered to some degree. Do they
adapt?...or be left out of the loop?...
...it will be interesting to see.

Best Wishes
