   If I don't see eggs in a hive, I give them a frame of brood with
eggs on it, from another hive. If they start making queen cells, the
queen has failed. If they don't, the procedure won't hurt them; it
will help keep their strenth up.

   Sometimes they have a virgin queen, especially this time of year,
and I didn't notice the cell.
