A very nice example, David!

There are obviously any number of ways that precision breeding could be
used with honey bees.  Think of reducing the amount of venom in the sting,
or transferring an allele from *Apis cerana* to *Apis mellifera* (artificial
hybridization) that would confer resistance to varroa.

That said, there would currently be HUGE pushback against releasing such a
bee, so it would be of only academic interest at the current time.
