The thought just occurred to me; where do the bees build drone cells when they are on HSC? If they are able to build some then do they build as many? We know that varroa prefers drone brood. It seems that without the ability for the bees to build drone cells and raise drone brood that could result in fewer mites. I know that many are anxious to prove the small cell theory but I do not believe that they wish to arrive at false conclusions.

What have you observed?
