Don't put it in an extractor.  Cut comb sells for twice the price of honey in the jar.

True,  but that doesn't work for brood comb......  
It’s a choice,  do whichever works best for your operation!  I still have a lot of that original foundationless comp in the hives. Easy to spot.   Not attached at the sides and bottom usually.
