Thanks for the info, Garry.  I was curious as to Weaver's claims that their bees have not needed a varroa treatment in some 3 years.  Have folks here bought queens from Weaver's and seen that?

Did your Buckfast bees build up as fast as other races, say Carniolans, in your neck of the woods in Mass.?  I've had New World Carniolans and Italians and was happy with their early build up.  The NWC were out flying about an hour earlier than the Italians but I thought the Italians' flights were more intense/frequent.  The production was about the same.
