80% is widely recommended, however, my local supplier provides 99% by default.
I find myself wondering how necessary it is to dilute to 80, or if I'd be better off using the 99% I have.
Reading L. Bailey's 1957 ABJ article on the technique, he recommends Acetic acid "80%-100%".
Has the original recommendation of "80% Minimum" become distorted as "80% Recommended", is there intervening research that shows 80% as preferable to 100%?

I'm inclined to just use mine at 99% as it is, and am curious to hear other opinions.
