I followed a contest last year on Beesource.  Odfrank always blew everyone
out of the water, just can't compete with those SoCal beeks. I lost track
of the contest when the totals started hitting 30-50 captures before swarm
season even hit here.  You need a handicap system based on lattitude I
think.  I was happy with 4 swarms and 2 cutouts (well 3 cutouts if you
count the one that had a dozen bees in it that was dissapointing to say the
least, the whole nest fit in one hand.) last year, but then again I'm small
potatoes.  I tried 10 or so swarm traps the last two years and have had big
fat 0s that way.
